This sculpture is one of twelve individual forms derived from Defended, a larger installation exploring the ways the mind instinctively protects itself from harm. Constructed from fused paper, the original work forms a dense landscape of delicate structures that collectively embody resilience and self preservation.

When isolated, each form becomes its own sculpture, shifting the focus from collective defense to individual experience. Each piece exists both as an independent work and as a fragment of the larger installation.

Each sculpture is accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and a signed Polaroid photograph documenting the work in progress.

Though visually fragile, each piece is structurally reinforced and intentionally built to endure.
